Those special wedding rings
should be impeccable for your wedding day to be more exceptional than ever.
What better way to perfect that day than by choosing those appropriate rings? Selecting bands and rings can be very confusing,
which is why we are here to assist you every step of the way. We make hundreds of different rings and bands for weddings
and engagements.
Did you know that a carat is a unit of measuring weight for gemstones, where one carat equals 1/5 of a gram, or 200 milligrams.
142 carats equals one ounce. Gemologists separate Carats into 100 parts called points. For instance, a three quarter-carat
gemstone would bear a weight of .75 carats or 75 points. The significant thing to keep in mind is that a carat is not a unit
of size but a unit of weight. A one carat dense stone will be smaller than a one carat stone that is less dense.
Another case in point, sapphires are more dense than diamonds, so a one carat diamond will be larger than a one carat sapphire.
Photos do not always tell the entire story when selecting your wedding rings, so our goal is to make your choice one that
you will welcome the rest of your lives. Many of our preferred wedding rings and wedding bands are intricately designed,
in gold, silver and platinum, joining together that touch of sophistication with richness, beauty and elegance. Our wedding rings
and wedding bands can be made separately or in matching sets.
Don't forget the four "C's " that affect the price of a diamond. A diamond’s worth is based on four decisive factors:
color, cut, clarity, and carat.
It is imperative that you establish your budget before obtaining your new ring. It is essential that you feel at ease with
the budget you have set aside. You should never allow a jeweler to talk you into going significantly
higher or lower than your budget. Your budget should be based first on your earnings, but also your knowledge of diamonds.
Do your groundwork so you understand the 4 “Cs” of diamonds. Understand these characteristics, can help you
establish which qualities are most significant to you.

Did you ever wonder how the color of gold is changed? Adding alloying elements (other metals) to gold
raises the hardiness and rigidity of the metal, as well as change the color. Adjusting the proportions
of coloring agents gives the array of colors in the marketplace.

Some of you may be wondering what the difference is between 14 karat and 18 karat gold. 18 karat gold means that the metal
is 18 elements out of 24 pure gold, or to phrase it another way, 75% pure gold. 18 karat gold is the normal for European jewelry. 14 karat gold
is 14 elements out of 24 pure gold, or 58.5% pure gold. This is the normal for American jewelry.

I had a person ask what platinum actually was. That was a very good question. Platinum is a precious metal that is much more expensive than gold. It usually is mixed with other similar metals, known as the platinum collection of metals: ruthenium, iridium, palladium, osmium and rhodium. Platinum is exceptionally solid, and is much heavier than gold or silver. Platinum has a remarkably high level of toughness so it does not wear or tarnish like other metals.
